Puck Pieterse is thinking about a victory in Flanders before switching to XCO mode

The young Dutch cyclist continues to make her mark on the road and has included the Tour of Flanders, which takes place next Sunday, March 31, in her calendar between the CX season and her main priority, XCO. After showing in the last races that she can compete with the best, Puck Pietese does not hide and aims for victory in Oudenaarde.

Puck Pieterse ready to shake things up in the Tour of Flanders

Her appearances on the road had been fleeting, but little by little, Puck Pieterse is becoming aware of her potential in this discipline beyond cyclocross and the XCO calendar that starts in a couple of weeks, her true specialties.

At the last minute, Puck Pieterse has decided to add to her calendar participation in none other than the Tour of Flanders, seeking to take advantage of the great form that has led her to finish on the third step of the podium in Ronde van Drenthe and in the prestigious Alfredo Binda Trophy and 7th a few days ago in her last race, the women's version of Gent-Wevelgem.

Initially her road competition plan was set until the Dwars door Vlaanderen which takes place today but, seeing the great form she has been demonstrating, Puck Pieterse did not want to miss the opportunity to debut in the Tour of Flanders before putting, now, an end to her mini road season and focus on XCO with the aim of achieving the Olympic title at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In any case, Puck Pieterse does not disdain thin tires and already points out that she hopes to have many more years on the bike to be able to face other prestigious races such as Paris-Roubaix or the Ardennes classics.
