Prologo PREDATOR 01TT: the first integrated aero saddle
The saddle was an element in which aerodynamics had not been taken into account when improving performance, until now, when the Italian firm Prologo has launched its spectacular PREDATOR 01TT saddle with which it aims to take performance in the individual fight against the clock one step further.
Aerodynamics also reaches time trial saddles from the hand of Prologo
Developed in collaboration with INEOS Grenadiers, Visma-Lease a Bike, and UAE Team Emirates-XRG, the new Prologo PREDATOR 01TT saddle aims to take time trial performance one step further with aerodynamics or weight as main arguments.

A saddle that is built on a carbon monocoque structure on which a minimalist padding is placed to leave the scale at just 135 grams. The carbon shell design of this Prologo PREDATOR 01TT has been developed using CFD software for fluid dynamics study to find the most aerodynamic shape possible. The solution found by the engineers of the Italian brand has been their profiled side wings with the aim of keeping the airflow attached to them and thus avoiding maximum interaction with the rails, the saddle post head, and the cyclist's legs.
Aside from aerodynamics, Prologo has also sought to provide maximum support to its PREDATOR 01TT in order to achieve better force transfer from the cyclist. For this, the rails are integrated on a flat structure that seeks greater support on the post without the need for any special design of it. This achieves greater overall strength that translates into less force expenditure in each pedal stroke.
This Prologo PREDATOR 01TT has a flat shape on its upper part, with padding only placed on the front half, the most common support when the cyclist is leaning on the time trial extensions. Additionally, to reduce perineal pressure, and save weight, it is equipped with the PAS anti-prostate channel.
A saddle that is available in two versions, both with identical measurements, differing only in the width of their nose, 50 mm for the more aggressive option and 60 mm for the wider option more oriented towards those who prioritize comfort as is usually the case with long-distance triathletes.
The Prologo PREDATOR 01TT can now be purchased on the brand's website as well as in its usual sales points, but be prepared with your credit card as its price amounts to a whopping €1,250.
