Prologo Dimension R2, the most comfortable and lightweight saddle ever created by the brand

The Prologo Dimension R2 saddle is, due to its compact size and innovative V-shaped design, one of the most appreciated models by many of the world's top cyclists and enthusiasts in general. An icon that is now reinvented in its Dimension R2 version to be the most comfortable and lightweight manufactured by the brand.

Prologo Dimension R2: the saddle of champions reinvents itself

The Prologo Dimension R2 has been quite a challenge for the brand considering that their goal was to evolve one of the most iconic cycling saddles. Prologo explains that for this project they had to combine the study of ergonomics and design with research on new materials.

The result has been a new multidisciplinary and unisex saddle, with compact dimensions of 245x143 mm and weighing only 135 grams, which represents a 15% reduction compared to the previous model.

It is a model designed for professional cyclists and the most demanding enthusiasts, and the brand defines it as perfect for use on the road and off-road.

The front part of the Dimension R2 has been completely redesigned with a width at the tip of 40 mm, 30% wider than the previous model and a more rounded side profile.

The central part has also been redrawn and now has a flat surface that promotes an even more advanced and aerodynamic riding position. A design studied to be more comfortable especially when more power is exerted on the pedals.

As we mentioned, research on new materials has been crucial in the evolution of the Dimension R2, and it is demonstrated in the introduction of a new EVA foam that has allowed reducing the thickness of the padding on the back by 20%, offering the support and comfort that this model boasts.

The base of the saddle is made of long injected carbon fiber, ensuring the best balance between rigidity and comfort, while the rails of the lighter model are made of Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) a composite material of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments.

The new Prologo Dimension R2 saddle is available in two colors, Anthracite and White, and has a price of 249 €.
