Professional fitting and digital workshop: this is the new alliance between Bikefitting.com and BikeFolder
The biomechanical fitting continues to establish itself as one of the key services for specialized stores and is now taking a further step towards digitalization. Bikefitting.com and Green Velo Technologies AS, the company responsible for the BikeFolder platform, have announced a strategic agreement that will connect the professional bike fitting process with a digital ecosystem designed to support the cyclist beyond the in-store session.
Bikefitting.com and BikeFolder Drive a New Era in Biomechanical Fitting
The collaboration combines the measurement technology and software developed by Bikefitting.com, a company founded in 1983 and acquired by Shimano in 2012, with the digital workshop concept promoted by BikeFolder. The goal is to transform bike fitting, traditionally linked to an in-person appointment, into a continuous experience where the cyclist's data is integrated into an accessible and constantly evolving digital platform.

With this integration, certified distributors by Bikefitting.com will have new digital tools that will facilitate online booking of services and increase their visibility within the BikeFolder environment. The intention is to simplify the contact between customer and store, optimize workflows, and strengthen the positioning of bike fitting as a differential service within stores.

For the end user, the main novelty is that each cyclist who completes a fitting will receive a free account on BikeFolder where their fitting report will be stored. From there, they will be able to register all their bikes, track maintenance and revisions, and in the future, access additional functionalities based on artificial intelligence. The platform will also incorporate a home sizing tool that will allow users to obtain a preliminary size orientation based on basic measurements taken at home, thus facilitating the first step before visiting a specialized technician.

Peter Slijkhuis, commercial director of Bikefitting.com, emphasizes the growing role of fitting within the strategy of stores: “Fitting services have increasingly become an important part of the service portfolio for distributors looking to differentiate themselves and offer a superior in-store experience. BikeFolder is in a privileged position to optimize the connection between customers and distributors and allow both parties to make the most of the exciting opportunities offered by the range of fitting services from Bikefitting.com.”

In the same vein, Sondre Norland, CEO of BikeFolder, highlights that a good cycling experience starts with the correct position on the bike: "Our goal is to create the best possible experience for cyclists around the world. We know that a great cycling experience begins with a bike tailored to each cyclist's body, whether competing at the highest level or commuting to work. With this collaboration, we can help every cyclist find their perfect bike, both at home and with professional technicians."
