Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe fails to straighten out their 2025 season. After a forgettable classics campaign, they arrived at the Giro d'Italia with the motivation of having Primoz Roglic, the top favorite to wear the pink jersey. Primoz Roglic arrived at the Giro d'Italia as the main favorite. In fact, he is the current winner of La Vuelta 2024 and had been one of the few highlights of his team during the spring after the resounding victory he achieved in the Volta a Catalunya.
However, everything started to go wrong at the end of the last week due to the fall that the Slovenian suffered in the stage on sterrato with a finish in Siena. Since then, everything went downhill.
