Pogacar, Van der Poel, and Pedersen are competing with an unprecedented Wahoo GPS
Mads Pedersen won the Gent-Wevelgem with a spectacular breakaway of more than 50 km, but in addition to his excellent form, he also caught attention for the equipment he used in the race. He won with a gravel group but also debuted what appears to be a new Wahoo GPS that has not yet been presented and that other cyclists from the brand, like Mathieu van der Poel or Tadej Pogacar, are already using.
A new Wahoo GPS is already in competition
It was not long ago that Wahoo presented the new Elmnt Ace, its high-end cycling computer with an innovative wind sensor, but this model was not the one we have seen Mads Pedersen or Mathieu van der Poel win with lately. In fact, it is not any of the current models in Wahoo's catalog and everything points to it being a new device that is either in development or ready to be presented to the market.

There are few images and none with enough detail to make a rigorous visual analysis of the new model, but it can be confirmed that it is not any of the current models. The most notable thing is the white front logo that now takes up more space, the bezels appear more rounded, and we could venture to say that it is a bit bulkier. There may even be several different prototypes in competition since comparing between several races and cyclists, some differences in the supposed same model can be appreciated.

If we consider that most cyclists competing with Wahoo use the Bolt model, for being more compact, and this along with the Roam model has not been updated since 2021 and 2022 respectively. We could venture to say that it is an update of one of them.
We will be attentive in the upcoming races in case we can have new images that offer more information. It is worth remembering that the new wind sensor that Wahoo has included in its Ace could be a competitive advantage, the UCI has even been scrutinizing it and has approved it, and if this function is transferred to their more compact models, it could spread throughout the peloton.
