New Wahoo Elemnt Ace with 3.8" screen and wind sensor
The new top-of-the-line cycle computer from Wahoo is called Elemnt Ace, a device that for the first time among the brand's models features a 3.8'' touchscreen, even larger than its competitors Garmin Edge 1050 or Hammerhead Karoo. It also adds an innovative wind sensor.

Wahoo Elemnt gets bigger
Under the name Elemnt Ace, Wahoo has launched a new version of its top-of-the-line cycle computer ready to compete with the large-sized cycle computers from other leading brands in the market.
To achieve this, Wahoo has equipped the Elemnt Ace with a 3.8-inch screen, larger than that of its rivals and, for the first time in a Wahoo cycle computer, it is touch-sensitive. The screen offers a high resolution of 720x480 pixels and is transflective to improve contrast even in direct sunlight.

To take advantage of the capabilities of this new screen and the increased processing power, Wahoo has redesigned the maps used in the Roam model to provide more details and better navigation, which is also enhanced by the small speaker included in this Elemnt Ace to announce route deviations.
Despite the touchscreen operation of the screen, Wahoo maintains its classic three buttons at the bottom and side buttons that can also be used to navigate and select different functions.
Among these functions, the most interesting is the wind sensor that this Wahoo Elemnt Ace has on the front. This sensor can read the air pressure and, by comparing it with the speed of travel, determine whether the wind is favorable or against, which can be calculated and displayed on the screen as another data field that appears with a green background when the wind is favorable or red if it opposes our progress.

Obviously, a cycle computer of this level comes with a high price tag, although in the case of the Elemnt Ace, its €599.99 price is very attractive compared to the €749.99 of the Garmin 1050 but slightly more expensive than the Hammerhead Karoo which costs €499.99.
