Pidcock wins again: "Sometimes an attack is the best defense"
Tom Pidcock continues to demonstrate his great form and quick adaptation to the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. In today's demanding stage at the AlUla Tour, the British rider once again proved to be the strongest in the desert hills, securing his second victory in three days and further solidifying his lead in the general classification. The current XCO world champion, Alan Hatherly, is also showing a good transition to the road and finished in second place, 12 seconds behind Pidcock
Tom Pidcock claims his second victory in an explosive climb with no rivals in sight
The day was decided in an explosive final climb, where Pidcock, without teammates around him, decided to take the initiative and set his own pace. His offensive tactic paid off as he left all his rivals behind and crossed the summit with a 30-second advantage.
Upon crossing the finish line, Pidcock commented: "Sometimes, attack is the best defense". "Before the race, I was told that there is usually a tailwind on this climb, but today it was headwind, and the last eight kilometers were very long."

After the climb, Pidcock had to deal with a challenging flat section that turned into a real chase. Four cyclists, including XCO world champion Alan Hatherly, fought to catch him.
"I don't know if they were working well together, but when you're alone, you can't go out of the saddle at 50 km/h. It was a very long effort", explained Pidcock.
With this victory, Pidcock increases his lead in the overall classification of the AlUla Tour, allowing him to face the next stage with greater peace of mind. "I am very happy. I have extended the lead and that gives us a small margin for tomorrow," he concluded.
