Pauline Ferrand-Prévot reinvents herself with Visma-Lease a Bike
The end of the Olympic cycle, with the Paris Games also marking the end of a cycle for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who switches from the colors of INEOS Grenadiers to the powerful Visma-Lease a Bike with the goal of competing in road cycling.
This discipline is not new to the Frenchwoman, who competed on thin wheels years ago, even winning the World Championship in 2018. In fact, her return took place at the Zurich World Championships a few months ago, although it was tough as her legs barely lasted an hour.

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot spoke about the click in her head that motivated the decision to switch to road cycling "I don't want to do the same races, the same training. But I'm not tired of cycling yet and I want to compete." However, INEOS Grenadiers does not have a women's team and Visma-Lease a Bike became a good option, and the fact that her partner Dylan van Baarle races in that structure surely facilitated the contacts for her signing.
In any case, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot admits that she needs to get used to thin wheels again "I see the power data and I know I can be a good road cyclist. It's just a matter of spending time training with teammates and competing in the peloton. I also have to get used to the training. It's completely different from what I used to do. The races are longer. And nutrition is very important, we didn't eat much while riding before."

Regarding her plans for 2025, the only confirmed race in her schedule is the Women's Tour de France "it's a good route for me" said Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, while also expressing her joy that the French tour does not include a time trial stage, undoubtedly the discipline she has the most work to do in.
