Orbea is testing something new in Andorra and we have no idea what it is
During the MTB World Championship in Andorra, many brands are testing and presenting new material. In the case of Orbea, we have caught, under the OOlab testing signature, what appears to be the prototype of a new Orbea Alma that hides something in the bottom bracket area.
New Orbea Alma on the way?
The Short Track World Championship was the chosen event for some cyclists from the Orbea Factory Team, such as Italian Chiara Teochi or Belgian Pierre de Froidmont, to compete for the first time with a prototype bike that, due to its shapes and concept, could be a future version of the Orbea Alma.
It is the rigid XCO mountain bike reference in the Orbea catalog and from the first images we can extract some information. The horizontal tube seems to be oversized in this new version, something that could add rigidity to the whole, but at the same time the top tube draws a more elegant, direct and lightweight line along with the rear triangle seatstays. At first glance, it seems like a more rigid and lightweight bike.
