Nino Schurter reviews his season in a must-read interview: "It is much more difficult to compete between 10th and 20th place than between the top 3"
He is considered the best XCO cyclist of all time and at 38 years old Nino Schurter continues to win World Cup races, but this season he arrived at his fifth Olympic Games and things didn't go as expected. After denying rumors about his retirement he now offers an interview in which he thoroughly reviews his season.

Nino Schurter reflects on his 2024 year: "I lost something halfway through the season"
In a new installment of the series N1NO BEYOND, the Swiss cyclist once again offers fans a glimpse into his private life. In the video, he officially introduces Maleng Degn, a rider from the Lapierre team, as his girlfriend or shows the real friendship he has with Yannick, his mechanic, when they visit his mother by helicopter.
But the really interesting part comes when he begins to honestly review his 2024 season and that's where he is seen aware of his current real state. Schurter confesses that 30 seconds into the start of the Olympic race he knew he wouldn't be close to the medals and for the first time we hear him say that he didn't go to the World Championships expecting to be at the front. But he also shows that he knows his current performance is still within reach of very few cyclists on the grid.
