Nino Schurter returns to number 1 in the UCI ranking

The Swiss Nino Schurter has not yet scored any points in 2024 and is currently competing in his first race of the year at the Cape Epic, but the UCI ranking is still in motion and has just elevated him back to number 1.

As every Tuesday, the UCI has just updated its Cross Country Ranking, and although we all know that these positions will change a lot as soon as the XCO World Cup starts on April 12 in Brazil, this is the ranking that will be most important this year for the classification for the Paris Olympics.

In the men's elite category, Swiss Nino Schurter returns to number 1 after his compatriot Thomas Fluckiger falls to second place. Both have not yet scored any points this season, but the Ranking is updated with the total points earned in a dynamic period of time and this time it has benefited the 10-time world champion.
