Nino Schurter makes his debut in a gravel bike and asks if he should sign up for any races
It seemed incredible that at this point Nino Schurter had not yet tried gravel, but that was the case. He himself shared a post on social media showing his new SCOTT ADDICT GRAVEL RC and he seemed excited on his first day of gravel.
Nino Schurter tries gravel for the first time
As we were saying, it is inexplicable that the 10-time XCO World Champion had not yet ridden a gravel bike. Especially if we remember that his mentor and director of SCOTT SRAM, the legendary Thomas Frischkneckt, has said on more than one occasion: "If I had to choose just one bike, it would be a gravel bike".

Schurter has remedied this in recent days by debuting his new SCOTT ADDICT GRAVEL RC on an idyllic Swiss gravel route that at times ran directly on mountain bike or hard gravel trails.

Schurter seems to have included this training as just another one in the weeks where we have seen him accumulating kilometers on the road bike. It could be that he has planned a volume period before returning to competition on May 23 in the Nove Mesto World Cup. If the participation of Van der Poel, Alan Hatherly and even Pidcock is confirmed, the Czech event could be one of the most competitive on the calendar.
Finally, Schurter included a fun poll asking his followers if he should sign up for a gravel race, among other gravel topics.
