New Specialized Shuffle 2 LED and Mio 2 helmets: innovation and safety for the youngest

Specialized has just launched the new Shuffle 2 LED and Mio 2 helmets. Two models specifically designed for children and developed in collaboration with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, leaders in safety technology.

One of the great innovations of these helmets is the low-density foam, the result of an advanced finite element analysis (FEA) study that considered the softer and developing structure of children's heads. This material is softer than traditional foam and significantly improves the helmet's ability to manage energy in the event of an impact, offering superior protection.

This technology, which is already used in Specialized's full-face downhill helmets, is now also available for the little ones.

But the brand ensures that the Shuffle 2 LED and Mio 2 not only stand out for their safety, but also for their comfort. They incorporate the SX adjustment system, which guarantees a perfect fit for small heads, and the practical Tri-Fix divider, which allows the straps to be adjusted quickly and easily.

The aesthetic aspect is fundamental in this sector and Specialized has opted for vibrant and modern colors in both models. In addition, they include a pack of customizable stickers with bright graphics and letters so that each child can give it their own unique touch.

The Shuffle 2 LED model incorporates an integrated rear LED light that increases the visibility of young cyclists, especially in low light conditions. This design not only improves safety, but also maintains a clean and attractive aesthetic, reassuring parents while children enjoy their rides.

Both models are now available for sale at a price of 50€ for the Mio 2 and 55€ for the Shuffle 2 LED.
