New RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost: renewed on the outside and on the inside
The new RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost is here. An important presentation considering that it is the evolution of a telescopic seatpost that changed the market and marked the first step of SRAM's AXS ecosystem. The RockShox Reverb AXS is new inside and out and here we tell you all about it.
The new RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost comes with a new aesthetic, "air-over-air" design and ActiveRide technology
The first thing that catches the eye of the new RockShox Reverb AXS is its change in the battery location, now it is in front, and although SRAM presents it as a change that facilitates battery replacement, it has also given it other functional advantages, such as a larger rear wheel clearance, the possibility of installing saddle bags, etc.

One of the great technical advances of the Reverb AXS is its "air-over-air" design. This system is based solely on air, significantly increasing the robustness and durability of the device. When fully extended, the seatpost places the rider on a specially designed air chamber, practically without negative spring, providing a firm and secure platform.

When the valve is activated and the seatpost starts its travel, ActiveRide technology is activated. This introduces a negative air chamber that balances the pressure with the positive chamber, improving comfort, control, and traction, especially useful in demanding technical climbs.
When fully extended, the seatpost remains rigid and firm, however, when lowering the saddle, ActiveRide comes into action offering extra comfort and a smoother ride.
The brand ensures that this technology will be highly appreciated in eMTB where the saddle height is usually lowered to improve control and cadence on technical terrain, there ActiveRide comes into action avoiding annoying rebounds and ensuring superior efficiency in technical climbs.
As we mentioned at the beginning, the RockShox Reverb seatpost was the first component of what would later become a complete wireless ecosystem from SRAM, the AXS, where we now find electronic transmissions and suspensions. So one of the strengths of this new RockShox Reverb AXS is its total integration with this electronic and wireless system. It shares battery, charger, and controller with all components enabled for AXS eliminating additional complications for those who already have or want to get the complete SRAM pack.
The Reverb AXS offers a wide variety of travels and is available from 100 mm to 250 mm in 25 mm increments. This variety guarantees total adaptability to all types of bikers regardless of the discipline, terrain, or riding style.
Furthermore, it is available in standard diameters of 30.9 mm, 31.6 mm, and 34.9 mm, ensuring compatibility with most frames on the market. It is also compatible with any type of round or oval saddle rail (7x7, 7x9, and 7x10).
Ease of installation and maintenance is another strong point of the Reverb AXS. Installing it is as easy as inserting it into the frame and adjusting it with a simple multitool. And its design has been studied to perform in the long term. Its maintenance requires standard lubrication every 300 hours of use (approximately one year).
The brand ensures that its robust construction allows for quick and easy replacement of essential components such as the upper tube, piston assembly, lower tube, saddle clamp, electronic module, and internal base.
