New RockShox Flight Attendant range for Trail and Enduro
Rockshox has announced another batch of updates for Flight Attendant. The component manufacturer is now renewing the ranges of forks and shocks for trail and enduro to incorporate the latest version of this suspension system. The American company is doubling down on one of its flagship products with AXS technology.
Rockshox Flight Attendant: a breath of fresh air for the trail and enduro range
The cycling industry is in a constant race to set the pace of the market. SRAM is one of the major players in the scene and diligently assumes its role. The American giant is one of the most relevant protagonists and new launch announcements have been coming non-stop in recent times, like the recently released Charger 3.1 that updated the long-travel suspensions of the brand.
Flight Attendant was a milestone as it became the first wireless electronic intelligent suspension system. Rockshox made science fiction a reality when it managed to have an algorithm automatically adjust the fork and shock to each situation.

The Flight Attendant system initially arrived for the enduro and trail versions of the brand's suspensions. Thus, the ZEB, Lyric, and Pike forks - as well as the Super Deluxe Ultimate shock - introduced this innovation when it hit the market in 2021. Since then, Rockshox has worked to improve it and recently announced the arrival of an optimized version that would bring this system to SID forks and shocks.
The operation is essentially the same: the algorithm collects information and puts the suspensions in one of the three compression positions -Open, Pedal, Lock-. Overall, Flight Attendant considers the rider's preferences, the terrain, style, and physical abilities before deciding.
Now, Rockshox is renewing the enduro and trail range with the latest version of Flight Attendant. The updated algorithm takes into account new data that allows for a more thorough and personalized interpretation of the situation. Decisions are more precise and allow for better use of the suspensions.
The main novelty has been named Adaptive Ride Dynamics, a tool designed to learn to differentiate pedal strokes to customize the suspension. The goal is to adapt to the surface and optimize the use of the suspension, which will change position based on the level of effort -classified into four zones: Sprint and High/Medium/Low Intensity-.
