In it, glasses have regained a prominent place for some years now, which the Japanese brand continues to promote with the new S-Phyre SL, Equinox, and Pulsar models, three high-quality glasses models that combine performance and comfort.

Beyond their design, the most relevant feature in the three new glasses models presented by Shimano is the inclusion of RIDESCAPE technology in their lenses, which adjust specific wavelengths in detail to increase visibility and highlight the appropriate tones depending on the cycling discipline being practiced.

In this way, three types of lenses will be available: RIDESCAPE RD, RIDESCAPE GR, and RIDESCAPE OR, focused, as their names suggest, on road, gravel, and off-road, highlighting the most common colors in each discipline to adapt to each surface.

The RIDESCAPE RD lenses aim to increase contrast on the asphalt to detect the smallest irregularities on the road with precision to avoid them more easily. On the other hand, the RIDESCAPE GR would be a versatile model for all types of terrain. Finally, the RIDESCAPE OR lenses are designed to reduce the sun's influence in continuous light changes and achieve greater sharpness to navigate with total precision on the most technical terrains.

S-Phyre SL and Equinox are available with the three types of lenses, while the Pulsar can only be found with gravel and off-road lenses. The S-Phyre SL features a large frameless wrap-around screen for an extremely lightweight and enveloping model. The S-Phyre SL weighs 23.7 g and is priced at €149.95.

On the other hand, the Equinox models are positioned as an intermediate option between the robustness of the Pulsar and the lightness of the S-Phyre SL, that is, as a versatile choice. In this case, a design with a frame only on the upper part is chosen, maintaining a large screen. The Equinox weighs 25.2 g and can be purchased for €119.95.

Lastly, the Pulsar model is mainly oriented towards off-road cycling. To make them more robust and durable, they are equipped with a full frame, although the lower half can be removed if you want to save a few grams. Like their catalog companions, they feature a large lens that offers optimal protection. It is worth noting that these Pulsar models, in addition to the RIDESCAPE lenses, are also available with a photochromic lens option. The Pulsar is positioned as the most affordable model at €89.95 and weighs 29.8 g.
