New Madrone Jab derailleur: something very different from the usual that can now be pre-ordered on request
The American company Madrone Cycles has made a name for itself in the cycling sector by specializing in the repair and improvement of rear derailleurs, mainly SRAM. But this year it decided to take a giant leap that has just come to light. The brand has developed its own 9 to 12V derailleur from scratch, called Madrone Jab, which is presented as a premium mechanical modular rear derailleur designed for the future.
New Madrone Jab: a premium modular derailleur designed to be reliable, precise, and repairable (on any bike)
The Madrone Jab is a mechanical modular derailleur that, thanks to its infinite adjustments through part changes, can be adapted to mountain bike, gravel, and possibly road transmissions, according to the brand.
It is compatible with the most common options from Shimano and SRAM (for 9-12V transmissions) and its modular design is its virtue of being completely repairable in case of damage or breakage. Something that seems very logical, but in current groups, even the most expensive ones, is quite complicated to do.
It is made of high-quality CNC aluminum and with a weight of 280g, for the version with the larger cage, it can be considered a lightweight yet very resistant derailleur.

Madrone ensures that it is a high-end derailleur due to its construction, precision, and repairability, but even the brand wanted its price to be below similar models, such as SRAM's mechanical XX1. Something that is hard to fit, as the new Madrone Jab will be priced at €350, a similar or higher price than SRAM's reference model.
For all those who want to try this exclusive Madrone Jab derailleur, the brand already has reservations open on its official website.
