Garmin has officially presented the new Edge® 550 and Edge® 850, two advanced cycle computers that evolve with bright 2.7-inch touch screens, adaptive training functions, and smart nutrition alerts.
The new Garmin Edge 550 and 850 come with smart features
With ultra-bright 2.7-inch touch screens, both models offer excellent visibility in all types of conditions, as well as fast and smooth route recalculation during navigation. In terms of autonomy, they reach up to 36 hours in battery saving mode and 12 hours in intensive use.
Highlighted features of Edge 550 and 850:
- Free adaptive training plans with Garmin Cycling Coach, which adjust according to the demands of the route, the cyclist's fitness level, and recovery (requires compatible power meter and HR sensor).
- Cycling capacity tracking, a feature that shows performance evolution and allows comparison with route demands.
- Smart nutrition alerts, with personalized recommendations on when to eat and drink, based on effort, temperature, and humidity.
- Real-time weather updates, including wind direction and radar overlay, when linked to a compatible smartphone.

Both Edge 550 and Edge 850 include key safety features: incident detection, road hazard alerts shared by other users, live tracking (LiveTrack), and full compatibility with Varia™ radars and cameras. This allows for audible traffic alerts, lighting control, or image recording without taking your eyes off the road.

- Integrated speaker with digital bell, step-by-step audible navigation, and training alerts.
