Cube Factory Racing Team expands the family with the creation of the XC team and the Next Generation DH
The change of year has brought news in the Cube Factory Racing Team. Although there is still to inaugurate the new edition of the UCI MTB World Series in Mairipora, Brazil, the teams are finalizing the details so that the bikes can kick off the season in other closer events on the calendar. Thus, the German manufacturer has announced some news in its competition teams.
Cube has announced the creation of the Cross Country Factory Racing Team. The team opens up a new discipline for the brand -although they have the experience of the Next Generation-, which will participate in the races of the Olympic modality. The racer Kira Bohm, current third in the European Championship and coming from the Cube Next Generation XC, makes the leap and becomes a cyclist of the new formation.

In addition, the Norwegian Knut Rohme -24 years old- and the Swiss Finn Treudler -20 years old- will also join the ranks of the cross country team.
In the field of downhill, Cube has revealed two novelties for the next season. First, the signing of the New Zealander Jess Blewitt -21 years old-. The racer is one of the young promises of the international scene and already showed her best version by winning the National Championship and signing a meritorious third place in Val di Sole.
"I am delighted with the team and the bike. I immediately felt part of the Cube family", Blewitt has declared.
On the other hand, Max Hartenstern and Simon Chapelet will continue competing under the structure of the Bavarian team.
Finally, Cube has explained that the Next Generation program will have a downhill team. Until now the Germans had this squad -which aims to give young talents the opportunity to develop and make the leap to the elite- only for cross country. In this way, next season will coexist the Next Generation XC and the newly created Next Generation DH.
The founder and owner of Cube, Marcus Puerner, states that it is very important for the firm "to create a family environment and establish long-term relationships", as well as "we are passionate about our commitment to the young promises of the sport and the development of our own talents in the long term".
In addition, he adds that "as part of our strategy for developing competition bikes for downhill and cross country, it was obvious to us that we also wanted to promote our sponsorship".
Puerner states that "this sends a clear message that our product portfolio and our developments in DH and XC have reached the top, and that we offer our customers bikes of the highest quality".
On the other hand, it is unknown if the Action Team -the Enduro team formed by Gusti Wildhaber, Veronika Sepp, Hanna Steinthaler and Jonas Goeweil- will continue in competition.
