New Classified carbon wheels for gravel and road compatible with Powershift

To facilitate access to their hubs with integrated electronic drive that seek to replace the front derailleur, Classified has been marketing its own wheels equipped with the Powershift system for some time. Wheels that are now updated to adapt to current trends.

Classified updates its range of wheels with Powershift hub

The goal that Classified seeks with its hub with two integrated multiplications with which they try to forget the gear changes is arduous, especially if it is taken into account that it requires a wheel with a specific hub and cassette. In recent times, Classified has tried to reach agreements with different wheel manufacturers to offer models equipped with their Powershift hubs but, however, the easiest way to access this system is by opting for the wheels that the brand includes in its catalog.

Wheels that had fallen a bit behind in their characteristics compared to current trends, which is why Classified has chosen to update them. A range that will be made up of three models: R36 and R50 for road use and the G42 designed for gravel practice.

With the number indicated in its name, the brand identifies the profile height of its rim. In addition, the rim width is expanded compared to the existing ones, going from the 19 mm that the existing models had to 22.5 mm, 25 mm in the gravel ones, which allow it to mount wider tires as they are currently in style, of course, fully compatible with the tubeless system.

The wheels are sold with the empty hub body, that is, without the Powershift system that must be purchased separately and is easily fixed to the hub body. In addition, Classified sells these wheels as a set for which it also has a front wheel with the same characteristics, sets that have quite attractive weights although the technical sheet does not include the weight of the Powershift system.

All wheels are hand-assembled and centered and, in the case of the 50 mm ones, the design of their profile has been optimized in the wind tunnel to provide optimal aerodynamics. Wheels that are already available at the brand's distributors and have a price of 1,500 € per set.
