The new jersey also arrives at a very special moment, as 2026 coincides with the centenary of Gaudí's death. The team emphasizes that the figure of the Catalan architect represents values such as creativity, innovation, and the constant pursuit of excellence, principles with which the Spanish squad, the most veteran in the professional peloton, also identifies.
A design inspired by the architecture of the Sagrada Família
The outfit has been developed alongside Gobik and takes as reference some of the most characteristic visual elements of the Sagrada Família. The geometric patterns, textures, and light plays present in the temple designed by Gaudí have served as a basis to create a jersey that seeks to convey the essence of one of the most recognizable monuments in the world to the sporting realm.
The result is an aesthetic different from the usual, with multiple graphic details that aim to evoke the architectural richness of the building and reinforce the bond between the team, Barcelona, and the start of the Tour de France.

Alberto García, co-founder of Gobik, explained the challenge of translating an architectural icon into a competition garment:
“Our challenge was to translate an architectural icon into a visual language that worked on a moving jersey. We explored light, transparency, and geometric patterns inspired by the Sagrada Família to create a design that reveals new details as the perspective changes”.
The brand manager added that the goal was to combine the tribute to Barcelona with the performance demands inherent to top-level competition:
“The result is a jersey that pays homage to Barcelona while maintaining the sporting identity and high-performance standards necessary for elite competition”.
