Movistar Team 2025: new kit, Telefónica until 2029, signings, objectives and The Least Expected Day
The Movistar Team is presented with renewed strength, starting with the extension of its main sponsor's commitment until 2029, which will mean a collaboration of 19 years in duration. A presentation in which we got to know the new colors that the team will wear and other things.
Movistar will sponsor the team for 5 more seasons
The historic headquarters of Telefónica in the center of Madrid was the chosen setting for the presentation of the Movistar Team that is starting off towards 2025. A season start that comes hand in hand with the tranquility of knowing that the telecommunications firm renews its sponsorship for 5 more years.
A sponsorship that has already lasted 14 years out of the 45 that Eusebio Unzue's structure has, undoubtedly the most relevant team in Spanish cycling.

Both male and female teams gathered at the event, composed for 2025 by 28 cyclists in the case of the men, with the addition of the star cyclist from the last Vuelta a España, Pablo Castrillo, along with other bets like Orluis Aular, Jefferson Cepeda, or Natnael Tesfatsion, to which the Colombian Diego Pescador is added.
On the other hand, the women's team will have 18 members, among which the addition of the Swiss Marlen Reusser stands out. The team will also add Carys Lloyd, Tota Magalhares, and the Spanish Paula Ostiz, who will not join until August.
At the event, we were able to see the new jersey of the Movistar Team, which, once again, is made by the Murcian brand Gobik with an important design change as the white color takes center stage over the corporate blue, which is reduced to the main space on the front where the brand logo stands out.
The 2025 season of the Movistar Team is full of challenges and will start, for the men's team, on January 18 with their participation in the Tour Down Under and on the 25th for the women who will take part in the Challenge de Mallorca. We also learned that Enric Mas will participate in the Tour de France and La Vuelta, while leadership in the Giro d'Italia will fall to Nairo Quintana and Einer Rubio.
Also returning in 2025 is one of the classics of recent years, the documentary "The Least Expected Day," in which cameras follow the day-to-day of the team in training and races, giving a unique insight into the intricacies of a World Tour team like the Movistar Team.
