Although at first glance the Mondraker F-Podium 2024 retains the general lines of its previous version, the truth is that it has undergone a profound renovation. The frame has been stylized with much more direct lines and loses the previous shapes and overdimensions. A simpler structure has been achieved, but with better stiffness and pedaling and downhill capacity. We could say that they have managed to evolve the model to a higher level of efficiency.

The most striking changes to the frame are found in the top tube, down tube and swingarm. But as you might imagine, these changes are not just for aesthetic reasons.

The rear triangle loses the diamond shape of the previous model, now it is a triangle.

The top tube is now completely straight and flat from the head tube to the saddle, it has lost the front curvature, something that is replicated in the vertical seat tube, which also loses the oversized shapes of the previous version and now allows the mounting of seat posts with longer travel. This results in a cleaner structure that not only looks that way, but also improves stiffness and lightness. The new frame is under 2 kg.

But the most important innovations are found in the central and rear area of the Mondraker F-Podium 2024. Its swingarm and linkages have been completely redesigned in what Mondraker has re-branded as the UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM. A virtual pivot with two connecting rods that manages like no other to separate the behavior of the shock absorber from the pedaling and braking forces. The entire system is now more compact and is located in a lower position.

The (more compact and lighter) shock absorber now has a more oblique and lowered position on the bike, pivoting directly on the swingarm. This new upgrade, which Mondrkaer has named the UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM, offers the following advantages:

Lighter system with better weight to stiffness ratio
More compact design with lower suspended mass
Allows longer seatpost lengths

The new monocoque carbon fibre linkage looks more robust than ever.

The new swingarm repeats the formula of simplifying shapes with more direct lines and gains stiffness thanks also to the development of two new connecting rods made of carbon monocoque. The new swingarm completely changes the behavior of the bike, gaining pedaling efficiency, improving rear stiffness and improving downhill sensitivity. In addition, we can now only see one of the vertical reinforcements linking the stays and chainstays, the left one that compensates for the transmission force, which has gained ground on the scales.

Along with improved pedaling capabilities, better efficiency and stiffness, the F-Podium 2024 also updates some of its geometry measurements, such as a more relaxed head angle of 66.5°, which upgrades its already excellent downhill capabilities.
