Kate Courtney is leaving SCOTT SRAM
American Kate Courtney announces her departure from SCOTT SRAM after 6 years with the team. She arrived in 2019 to wear the rainbow jersey with SCOTT and in the team she has experienced a career full of ups and downs.
Kate Courtney says goodbye to SCOTT SRAM
In 2018, Kate Courtney surprised the XCO world by winning the first Elite World Championship she competed in. This feat earned her a spot on the SCOTT SRAM team the following season, the most powerful team at the time. From there, her career alongside Nino Schurter's team has been full of ups and downs. But in 2024, she regained solid performance that allowed her to return to the top of the UCI ranking. Currently, she is in 9th position.

In 2025, she will not continue with SCOTT and this is how she bid farewell to the team:

Thank you to SCOTT SRAM for the support over the past six years. Together we have achieved incredible results, but above all, I have been part of an incredible group of people working together to try to be the fastest in the world. We even succeeded several times. Including the first American World Cup in almost two decades.
I am very grateful for the shared experiences and the close bonds formed with those who have been part of this chapter of my journey.
It has been an honor to race for your team Thomas Frischknecht, to work with you over the years Julia Hegar, Kurt Gross, Yanick, Peter Baumgartner, Brace Copeland, Eric Fostvedt, and to be teammates with you Nino Schurter, Andri Frischknecht, Lars Race and Filippo Colombo. Thank you for chasing these crazy dreams with me.
It has been a very tough decision to leave this team next year... but I am not walking away from something. I am moving towards something new and different... stay tuned.
