Jenny Rissveds wins with a devastating attack the XCC of Mont-Sainte-Anne, Evie Richards takes the overall classification of the event
The Swedish Jenny Rissveds (Canyon CLLCTV XCO) once again demonstrated why she is one of the most dominant riders on the circuit and imposed herself with authority in the Short Track of the Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup, doing so with the largest time difference that had been seen so far. Evie Richards (Trek Factory Racing - Pirelli) finished second and, with that result, mathematically secured the Overall Short Track Classification, while Ronja Blöchlinger (Liv Factory Racing) completed the podium.
Jenny Rissveds wins in Mont-Sainte-Anne and Evie Richards is crowned champion of the 2025 Short Track World Cup
In a very fast start, Samara Maxwell (Decathlon Ford Racing Team) tried to take the lead from the first meters, but it was Evie Richards who positioned herself at the front, closely followed by Jenny Rissveds. The group of favorites remained compact during the first lap, with Canadian Jennifer Jackson (Orbea) cheering on the race in front of her home crowd at the beginning of the second lap.
The race was set for nine laps, and the first major move came in lap 3, when Rissveds launched a sustained attack that only Richards could follow. Although the group regrouped in the fifth lap, the Swedish rider had not said her last word: aware that she needed to win or surpass Maxwell to maintain her chances in the combined XCO general classification, she launched another devastating attack in lap 6.
Only Richards and Sina Frei (Specialized Factory Racing) could initially respond, but Rissveds increased her pace and in lap 7 she went off on her own. In a matter of minutes, she opened up a lead of more than 25 seconds, enough to secure the victory.

Behind, Evie Richards fought to maintain her position within the top 8, aware that this was enough to conquer the Short Track overall, and she more than fulfilled that.
With this victory, Jenny Rissveds keeps the fight alive for the combined XCC/XCO overall, which will be decided on Sunday. Meanwhile, Evie Richards takes the overall victory in the 2025 Short Track World Cup, culminating in a brilliant and extremely consistent campaign.
The New Zealander Samara Maxwell, fifth today, continues to lead the General Classification, where Rissveds will be her main rival in the season finale. Mont-Sainte-Anne, once again, will decide the outcome of a spectacular year.
