Is it for sale? The transparent saddle that everyone is asking about on the Tour
This is one of the most advanced saddles on the market, it was presented just a few weeks ago, it is used by the current leader of the Tour de France and, to top it off, it now sports a unique finish. It is impossible not to notice it, and its translucent finish on Kim Le Court-Pienaar's yellow S-Works is capturing the attention of fans and media.
The transparent S-Works Power Evo of Kim Le Court-Pienaar at the Tour
This is a special version of the new S-Works Power Evo, an evolution of the iconic Specialized saddle, which was officially launched last month. However, the translucent version that the AG Insurance-Soudal cyclist is using is not (yet) available in stores. At the moment, it is a limited edition for professionals, and we do not know if it will reach the market in the future.

In addition to its exclusive appearance, which stands out from the usual black saddles, this S-Works Power Evo has been manufactured with Specialized's new Mirror technology, based on a 3D lattice of liquid polymer that shapes a honeycomb structure with more than 21,000 nodes, almost triple that of the previous model. According to the brand itself, this geometry allows for a 34.1% reduction in pressure on the tip of the saddle and almost 30% in the ischial area, compared to conventional foam models.
Although this finish has gone viral on Kim Le Court-Pienaar's bike, the truth is that Pascal Eenkhoorn of Soudal Quick-Step was already using it during the men's Tour.
While waiting to see if it ever reaches stores in this color, the S-Works Power Evo in black is already available for €449 and, regardless of the finish, there is no doubt that it will be one of the most exclusive saddles in the coming years.
