INEOS Grenadiers incorporates Total Energies as a secondary sponsor
In the preamble of the Tour de France, INEOS Grenadiers announced the addition of a new sponsorship. Total Energies joins as a secondary sponsor to the British team. This support does not involve any type of merger with the French team, which will continue in the peloton within the Pro Team category.

Extra income for INEOS Grenadiers with the arrival of TotalEnergies sponsorship
Although there had been speculation about a possible merger between INEOS Grenadiers and TotalEnergies, the British team will remain as it was, but the energy company will join the project as a secondary sponsor of the team starting from this Tour de France.
This support can only be in this way, secondary, as UCI rules prevent two teams from having the same name. In fact, the energy company has already reassured the French team and guaranteed that it will maintain its sponsorship during the 2026 season with the intention of starting conversations also for 2027, as stated by TotalEnergies' president, Patrick Pouyanné.

This sponsorship only serves to bring to cycling the already solid existing collaboration at an industrial level between INEOS and TotalEnergies, who collaborate on the Amiral petrochemical project in Saudi Arabia.
The arrival of TotalEnergies brings a breath of fresh air to an INEOS Grenadiers team that has declined in recent seasons. In fact, its owner, Jim Ratcliffe, had already stated on occasion the need for new investments to bring the team back to a position to compete at the highest level.

For now, the announcement of the new sponsor's arrival coincided with the announcement of the signing of the latest gem of Spanish cycling. At just 16 years old, directly from the junior category, young Benjamin Noval will join the INEOS Grenadier team. Just a few days ago, he amazed with his victory in the Vuelta al Besaya, where he won the final stage with an attack 40 kilometers from the finish line, securing the overall victory by almost two and a half minutes over his pursuers.
