If you are looking for a reliable, fast, and comfortable tire, take note of this name: Michelin Pro5
Michelin renews its Pro competition tire, which reaches its fifth evolution with a 35% improvement in rolling resistance thanks to its new rubber compound, as well as optimizing air retention and not neglecting protection against punctures and cuts.
The Michelin Competition Line range is crowned with the new Pro5 tires
The French company, creators in the late 19th century of the tube and tire system, continue to be one of the benchmarks in tire manufacturing as we are well into the 21st century. To maintain this status, Michelin continues to improve its tires. As a result of this work, tires like these Michelin Pro5 are born, replacing their predecessors Pro 4 Service Course at the top of the range.

This bike blurs the boundaries between gravel and road: we tested the Orbea Terra Race
As good performance-oriented tires, rolling resistance becomes an essential parameter. A parameter that Michelin has managed to improve by a commendable 35% compared to the previous model, mainly thanks to the new Gum-X rubber compound and a new tubeless ready carcass design, which has also been improved to achieve better airtightness when riding long distances on the bike.
Although improving rolling resistance was the essential parameter in its development, Michelin has not neglected puncture protection, using Bead-to-Bead technology, that is, protection from sidewall to sidewall and not just under the tread. A feature often reserved for training tires, cyclo-touring focus, or MTB and Gravel models that need to be protected from impacts when riding off-road.
These new Michelin Pro 5 tires, following the trend already established in current cycling, will be available in a minimum size of 700x28 as well as in 30, 32, and 35. All of them with the usual black sidewalls or in cream color for those looking to give a retro look to their wheels.
They have a declared weight of 365 g for the 700x30 version and a price in line with other models on the market of 64 €.
You can find these and check out the rest of the range and prices on the official Michelin website.
