Gravel without limits with the new Mondraker Arid Carbon
After delving into gravel with an electric-assist model, Mondraker launches the Arid Carbon, a muscular gravel bike that has sought maximum versatility to satisfy any gravel user, from those seeking the highest performance in competitions to lovers of endless bikepacking routes.
Mondraker Arid Carbon, gravel for all approaches
Satisfying all gravel users with a single bike is a complicated task. In recent years, the concept of gravel has diversified to the point where the bikes used in UCI Gravel World Series competitions have little in common with those needed to tackle a long-distance event with challenging sections like The Traka. There are also those who see gravel as an activity consisting of riding only on easy tracks and those who face difficulties that border on mountain biking.

For all of them, there is this new Mondraker Arid Carbon, a bike built on the new Stealth Air frame, which inherits the general lines of the existing e-bike, the Dusty. The Stealth Air frame of this Arid Carbon is designed using minimalist lines and tubes of contained section that not only achieve an attractive aesthetic but also maximize the frame's absorption capacity while paying special attention to critical areas such as the bottom bracket or head tube to provide these areas with the necessary rigidity.
A frame that is designed to use the increasingly common UDH hanger, allowing for a setup with the new SRAM Red AXS 13-speed with its new full mount derailleur; in addition to the already mandatory internal point-to-point wiring or a T47 threaded bottom bracket for easier maintenance and better reliability. In the search for the mentioned versatility, it should be noted that this Arid Carbon is capable of accommodating tires up to 700x50.
The frame of this Arid Carbon incorporates a storage system in the down tube to carry our tool kit and, obviously, with bikepacking in mind, it has multiple bottle cage mounts distributed throughout the frame.
Also noteworthy in the frame design is the structure of its rear triangle, aimed at achieving maximum absorption. A very compact triangle with a peculiar connection between the seat stays and the seat tube. By the way, it should be noted that the design of its geometry follows the brand's characteristic Forward Geometry philosophy, with a lot of horizontal space, very short stems, and placing the rider in a fairly aggressive position that will be appreciated by those cyclists looking for a more sporty feel.
