The COROS DURA Solar GPS wants to break the market: 289€ and 120 hours of battery life with a single charge and full GPS mode
The COROS brand has just landed in cycling with the COROS DURA Solar GPS, a cycle computer that boasts the largest battery ever seen in a device of this kind. It also offers a solid training platform, great visibility and screen definition, an intuitive touch screen display with buttons, and a price of 289€.
The GPS COROS DURA Solar disrupts the cycle computer market with over 120 hours of autonomy
COROS has just entered the cycling world, but it is not a new brand in GPS devices and already knows what it takes to enter a market and dominate it in a few years. This is what they have done with their running and mountain watches, and it seems that in cycling they will apply a similar strategy.
Their formula is devices with long-lasting batteries, an easy user interface, and a solid training software. And that's what this brand new GPS cycle computer, the COROS DURA, offers.
RECOMENDADO
COROS ensures that they have prioritized the cyclist's experience by addressing multiple pain points. From the seemingly endless battery life to the use of Google Maps for navigation, ultra-fast charging speeds, and much more, the innovation in this device is unmatched in the GPS cycle computer market.
The COROS DURA supports 120 consecutive hours of pedaling in full GPS mode with a single charge. The solar panels on the cycle computer add up to two hours of pedaling for every hour of direct sun exposure.
With a 2.7-inch MIP color touch screen that is fully customizable, the display of your data and navigation on the DURA is crisp outdoors, especially under direct sunlight. The adaptive backlighting automatically adjusts the screen brightness to ensure clear visibility at night or indoors.
You can create new routes through the COROS App or download them from your favorite Apps, such as Strava, Ride with GPS, and Komoot. And if you change your mind halfway through the route, you can search for new destinations on your phone or draw a new route, and the COROS DURA promises to sync the updated route in seconds.
The COROS DURA includes the training platform available in the COROS App and the COROS Training Hub desktop at no additional cost or monthly fee.
"Our goal is to create products that solve athletes' problems, whether to help them train, explore the world, or simply bring them closer to the sport they love. COROS DURA is a clear extension of this philosophy and is truly the ultimate adventure and training companion. We are proud and honored to introduce the DURA to the cycling market." Lewis Wu, Co-founder of COROS.
