The sports career of Kate Courtney has featured one of the fastest and most surprising turns in recent years. Just a few months ago, it seemed that the reigning world champion XCM would face another season with mountain biking as the main focus and some incursions into other disciplines. However, a few races have been enough to completely change that scenario.

Courtney went from trying her luck on the road with the U.S. national team to winning practically from the start, becoming the national champion of the United States and eventually signing with FDJ United-SUEZ, one of the most important teams in the women's WorldTour. Now, Gobik has put on sale the jersey with which the American can showcase her national title in this new stage.

The story began last May. Courtney arrived at the Tour de Feminin of the Czech Republic with the U.S. national team and practically without recent experience in a professional road peloton.

Her adaptation was surprisingly quick. After improving her positions during the race, Kate Courtney managed to win the last stage of the Tour de Feminin, out-sprinting Eliska Kvasnickova and finishing the event in a notable 13th position overall. It was her first UCI road race, and she was already leaving it with a victory.

Courtney decided to continue exploring her possibilities on the asphalt, and just a few weeks later, the result that definitely accelerated her change of direction arrived.

In June, the American showed up at the National Road Championship and surprised everyone again. After 113.8 kilometers of racing, Kate Courtney was crowned champion of the United States, surpassing Lauren Stephens and Grace Arlandson.

In just a few weeks, she had gone from being a newcomer to the peloton to achieving one of the most recognizable jerseys in international cycling.

From there, everything accelerated even more. Courtney's performance did not go unnoticed, and in July, the move came that confirmed this was no longer just an occasional road adventure.

Kate Courtney signed with FDJ United-SUEZ with a contract until the end of 2028, making the direct leap to the women's WorldTour.

Her arrival at FDJ United-SUEZ has also allowed us to see Courtney in a very different outfit from the usual one of the French team. As the reigning U.S. champion, the rider will wear a very special jersey.

Gobik, the technical sponsor of FDJ United-SUEZ, has decided to bring that design to its catalog under the name CX PRO 4.0 FDJ SUEZ 26 USA Champion.

The Spanish brand summarizes the launch with an idea that fits particularly well with Courtney's recent trajectory: “A national title. A new chapter. A jersey that represents both”.

The jersey is available from this August 18 in a limited edition and has a price of 85 euros.
