Gobik combines art and competition in its new kit alongside Karabo Poppy
Gobik has just presented the new kit of its factory team for the 2026 season. An outfit that consciously distances itself from the usual codes of competitive cycling under the slogan The Art of Celebration. This design, in collaboration with South African artist Karabo Poppy, places this outfit once again at the intersection of art, cultural identity, and competition, beyond a simple aesthetic exercise.
Gobik presents its new 2026 kit alongside artist Karabo Poppy under the slogan The Art of Celebration
The brand explains that this collaboration arises as a real dialogue between two ways of understanding celebration: the one that emerges from artistic creation and the one that comes from athletic effort. In this project, celebrating is not seen as the end of the competitive process, but as an essential part of it. An idea that connects emotion, belonging, and collective expression, and serves as the guiding thread of the entire visual narrative of the new kit.

Karabo Poppy is an illustrator, graphic designer, and urban artist based in Johannesburg, internationally recognized for a contemporary visual language deeply linked to African identity. Her work combines color, geometry, and narrative to highlight concepts such as community, pride, and collective memory, and has been present both in urban spaces and in global collaborations with top-level brands and cultural projects.

The creative starting point of the kit is Poppy's research on African Portrait Cloths, traditional African fabrics that serve as vehicles of identity and shared memory. Far from being simple decorative patterns, these textiles tell personal and collective stories and are used to mark moments of unity and celebration. This symbolic weight is what is transferred to the design of the new jersey of the Gobik Factory Team for 2026.

The central piece of the set is the unisex CX Pro 4.0 jersey, designed to perform at the highest level, but also to communicate a message that goes beyond pure performance. The set is completed with the X shorts, available in both men's and women's versions, which provide a more sober and balanced technical base, reinforcing the competitive character of the kit.
Both the jersey (€85) and the shorts (€150) of the Gobik Factory Team 2026 are already available on the official brand website.
