From road cycling to mountain biking, Tom Schellekens signs with KMC Ridley
Dutch under-23 cyclist Tom Schellekens has just announced that he will leave the Visma Lease a Bike team to sign with the KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team, led by the legendary mountain biker Bart Brentjens.
Tom Schellekens is the first signing for the KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team for 2025
The KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team is gearing up for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and their first signing for the upcoming season is the talented young rider Tom Schellekens.
Tom has been competing in 2024 in road and mountain biking as a cyclist for the Visma|Lease a Bike Development Team. But the Dutch rider has decided to focus on mountain biking for the upcoming seasons with the main goal of being selected for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

This is how Bart Brentjens, director of the KMC Ridley Mountainbike Racing Team, explained it
