The absence comes at one of the best sporting moments of the Swiss rider's career. Colombo had established himself this season as one of the most combative and consistent riders in the XCO World Cup, achieving outstanding results practically at every event on the calendar.

His best XCO performance came in Nové Město, where he finished third behind Tom Pidcock and Luca Martin; additionally, in Leogang he secured a brilliant second place in the Short Track, confirming his excellent form.
Beyond those two podiums, the SCOTT-SRAM rider has shown remarkable consistency during this first half of the season, finishing among the top ten in practically all the events held and establishing himself as one of the regular names in the leading positions.
Colombo's absence represents a significant loss for the Italian event in La Thuile, but now the Swiss rider's goal will be to focus on recovery to return to competition as soon as possible.
