And he did it by winning in the Netherlands at the Rucphe International, the first of the 5 races he will compete in this month and will take him to the first round of the World Cup in Antwerp.

The 29-year-old from Alicante had not won a race since he won the Spanish Champion title on January 14, but his peak form seems to be arriving just in time for the most intense period of the season.

After his second place at the European Championships, just behind Thibau Nys, Orts has once again shown off today at the Rucphe International with a race that he has dominated on his own from the start. Only the Dutchman Ryan Kamp threatened him from afar with his time difference, but the truth is that Orts' first place was never compromised.
Felipe Orts crossed the finish line first with a time of 58:36 minutes, Ryam Kamp arrived 2" later and the podium was closed by Jens Adams 6" behind the Spaniard.
The next event for the Spanish champion will be on Monday, the 11th at the Superprestige in Niel, Belgium.
