The cyclist from Alicante is one of the great revelations of this cyclocross season and did not disappoint in Dublin.
As he declared after the race, his strategy consisted of saving some energy during the first half. This, along with a successful last tire choice, worked to get him on the podium:

How would bikes be if there were no UCI rules
"I tried to save some energy because we were in a group all the time. For the last lap, I switched to Rhino (a tire with a lot of tread and more space between them to evacuate). I made a good decision, because the bike was getting more slippery. With two laps to go, I was able to pass Eli. I sprinted with Toon for second place, but I finished third".
“This year we see great battles constantly. Many riders manage to stay in the first group. Luckily, I had a good last lap and today I was able to reach the podium”.
With the third place in Dublin, Orts now has five podiums this season and rises to sixth position in the overall standings.
"This was a big goal and I am still in good form in the World Cup after two rounds"
His next appointment will be at the Cyclocross World Cup in Sardinia, Italy, on December 8th.
