Felipe Orts makes history and Sofía Rodríguez is consecrated in the Spanish CX Championship 2025
The Alicante cyclist Felipe Orts met expectations in As Pontes, won and was proclaimed the cyclist with the most titles, seven, of Spanish Cyclocross Champion. In the women's category, Sofía Rodríguez shone to win her first Elite Spanish Championship.
Felipe Orts conquers his seventh national title in his best season
After a race start that seemed very intense due to the high pace set by Mario Junquera, the race became more predictable as the laps went by. The Alicante native Felipe Orts gave the impression of controlling his rivals at all times and even managing his energy and saving as much as possible for the upcoming competitions.
A attack by Orts in the muddiest part of the circuit allowed him to open a gap with the rest and take enough advantage to cross the finish line first, enjoying his feat as the Spanish cyclist with the most national elite titles in cyclocross.

Sofía Rodríguez wins her first Elite Spanish CX Championship
The elite and under-23 women's race also started strong with an early attack by Sara Cueto that forced the Nesta MMR cyclists, Lucía González and Sofía Rodríguez, to accelerate.
An unfortunate mechanical breakdown of Lucía González, who was aiming for her seventh national title, soon relegated her from the fight for victory. And it was her teammate Sofía Rodríguez who took the lead in the race by attacking in a walking zone.
Sofía Rodríguez crossed the finish line first to achieve her first elite victory. Lucía González's fight until the end earned her the silver medal, and Sara Cueto closed the podium after a solid race.
