The European XCM Champion, Wout Alleman, signs for BUFF® - MEGAMO

To leave no doubt, the team has announced the arrival of Wout Alleman as "one of the most important signings in the history of BUFF® - MEGAMO". The Belgian will bring to the Catalan structure the current European Champion jersey as well as his experience and proven performance.

European champion, Wout Alleman, joins BUFF® - MEGAMO

At 27 years old, Wout Alleman has been progressing season after season to position himself at the top of this discipline worldwide. In 2023 he managed to proclaim himself European Champion, the best result of his sports career and in 2024 he knows that he will start as a favorite in any race in which he takes part.

“I already knew the riders and Pau Zamora - Team Manager -. For me, the team seems like a big family, like a group of friends. It's very important to have a good atmosphere. They also do all the big races on the calendar. It gives me the opportunity to do new XCM races and try new disciplines. For example, I will do some gravel races this year. It's nice to have new challenges and BUFF® - MEGAMO allows me that. I trust a lot in this project. I believe with this team I will be able to achieve all my goals” explains Wout Alleman about his arrival to the team.

“One of my big goals will be the Absa Cape Epic, which I will do with Hans Becking. We are good friends and it's good to have someone by my side who I already know well, also outside of the races. My dream is to win the Absa Cape Epic in the future. I don't know if it will be possible this year, but it's my goal. We have a good team with a lot of experience.”

“On a personal level, the world championship is a big goal. I think the Snowshoe course suits me very well.” “Now that I have the jersey I would like to keep it longer. The European will also be a goal.”

Pau Zamora, Team Manager of BUFF® - MEGAMO gave some keys about this signing. “We needed a leading rider and Wout is. He knows Hans very well and that will help in stage races. Wout Alleman is the latest signing of the BUFF® - MEGAMO team which with his arrival becomes the most international squad in its history. Hans Becking (Netherlands), Rosa van Doorn (Netherlands), Janina Wust (Switzerland), Enrique Morcillo (Spain), Jose Dias (Portugal) and Pablo Rodríguez (Spain) make up the team for 2024.
