ENVE presents a handlebar worth over €1,000

Despite the wide range of premium components that populate ENVE's catalog, until now they lacked an integrated road handlebar and stem set, a component that the American firm did manufacture and sold exclusively with their frames. Now, finally, this ENVE SES AR handlebar is available for sale independently, albeit at a price as exclusive as the brand usually offers.

Long-awaited novelty in the ENVE catalog. The component firm, which includes handlebars, stems, their excellent wheels, forks, seat posts, etc. even, recently, two bike models, one road and one gravel, adds to its options one of the few components it lacked: an integrated road handlebar.

Based on their SES AR handlebar, ENVE has built an integrated version of this and the Aerostem stem to please those who want to maintain maximum integration on their super aerodynamic bikes. Of course, with this orientation, this new integrated handlebar fits within their In-Route System product line that encompasses components designed for internal cable routing and sets a kind of standard to which various manufacturers have adhered in which this handlebar will achieve perfect integration.

If you look closely, the handlebar carries the AR designation, an acronym for All Road, which identifies its products suitable for both road and gravel, a condition that is evident in the generous 18-degree flare, or in other words, a difference of no less than 5 centimeters between the width of the lower part of the handlebar and the brake lever attachment area. This feature is complemented by a very contained drop, of 129 mm and a reach shorter than usual in road handlebars, just 76 mm.

As for the stem, ENVE manufactures this handlebar in 5 lengths, from 90 to 130 mm and 5 handlebar width options, measured at the top in the brake lever attachment area. From 38 to 46 cm.

A handlebar that, like most products that ENVE makes, is completely handmade and carries that premium product label, this means that the price is in line with this consideration. We will have to shell out no less than $1,200 to get a unit of this SES AR, a price that includes screws, an accessory to house the Shimano Di2 connection box in case of using a group of previous versions, 4 centimeters of spacers with the shape of the stem for good integration and a K-Edge cycle computer mount.
