Enrique Morcillo and Buff Megamo part ways after 8 seasons
The XCM Buff Megamo team surprised yesterday on their social media saying goodbye to Enrique Morcillo after 8 seasons together. 'Morci' is a national reference in XCM and stage mountain biking, but now it seems that a new stage will begin.
Enrique Morcillo leaves Buff Megamo
After 8 years together, going through several team names, the current Buff Megamo bid farewell to Enrique Morcillo yesterday:
"Goodbye Morci! After 8 years together, we only have words of gratitude towards you. Thank you for being part of this great family and for having contributed so much. We will miss your positive energy, your good vibes, your camaraderie, and your experience in the Cape Epic and in South African lands.
A new chapter begins, but as Pau says, we will follow you with our hearts wherever you go. See you soon, captain!"

Morci's talent and charisma have made him one of the key pieces of the team in recent years. The Ibiza native has developed the best of his sporting career in the current Buff Megamo, being able to climb to the top positions in the best XCM and international stage races.
Morcillo is one of the most consistent XCM cyclists on the national scene and his 7 participations in the legendary Cape Epic, where he finished 6th and 5th in 2019 and 2021 respectively, or his silver medal in the 2019 XCM National are good examples of this.
This is how he said goodbye to the team:
"Thanks to Buff Megamo for giving me the opportunity to make my passion my job. I wish you all the best. And I keep saying it loud and clear. I have been in the best team in the world. And you will continue to be the best team in the world."
While we wait to know Enrique Morcillo's near future, it seems that the 34-year-old cyclist will continue competing next season.
