DT Swiss asks to stop using their ERC, CRC, and HEC wheels
After receiving reports of incidents related to their ERC, CRC, and HEC wheels, specifically models with rim sizes between 35 and 45 mm and serial numbers above 2750000, corresponding to wheels manufactured and distributed after September 1, 2024, DT Swiss has decided to request their customers to stop using these wheels immediately.
The cases reported to DT Swiss involve delamination issues on the rims of these wheels, which could potentially lead to catastrophic wheel failure resulting in a serious accident.

The Swiss company has directly informed various brands that had mounted affected wheel models so that they can also inform their customers about the existing problem with these wheels.
Customers can find the serial number of the wheel on a sticker on the rim bed as well as on the outer part of the rim. Additionally, to determine if our wheel is affected or not, DT Swiss has set up a search tool on their website where, after entering this number, we can find out if our wheel is one of the affected ones.

If affected, the brand has asked customers to immediately stop using those wheels and to inform DT Swiss directly through the email address specifically set up for this situation: recall@dtswiss.com or via phone.
At the moment, DT Swiss has not provided further information beyond the request to stop using the wheels, so they will continue to inform customers with affected wheels of the steps to follow, which could range from a simple product inspection to wheel replacement.
