Mathieu van der Poel confirms part of his calendar for 2025
The current world cyclocross champion, Mathieu van der Poel, confirmed part of his calendar for the 2025 road and MTB season this Wednesday. Just two weeks after winning his seventh CX world title, the Alpecin-Deceuninck cyclist is already fully focused on preparing for the major spring goals.

Mathieu van der Poel has confirmed that he will start his season at the Tirreno-Adriatico, which will take place from March 10 to 16. A race he knows well, as he has participated in 2020, 2021, and 2023, achieving a total of three stage victories and considering it the best preparation for Milan-San Remo, his first major goal of the year.

The Alpecin-Deceuninck cyclist will once again focus his calendar on the spring classics, with Milan-San Remo on March 22, his first major challenge. He will then face the E3 Saxo Classic on March 28, the Tour of Flanders on April 6, and Paris-Roubaix on April 13. Subsequently, he will participate in the Tour de France starting on July 5.
Van der Poel has ruled out his presence in the Road World Championships and has confirmed that the Mountain Bike World Championship will be one of his major goals of the year. As for the possibility of competing in A Travers de Flandes, he has not yet made a decision, but has made it clear that he will not race in Gent-Wevelgem, as he prefers to seek his fourth victory in the Tour of Flanders rather than achieve his first victory in the Belgian classic.
