COROS DURA: a cycle computer that could change the market is coming

Just a few images could be the beginning of a paradigm shift in the cycling GPS market. The Chinese brand has just announced the COROS DURA, its first cycling computer. It might seem like insignificant news, but considering that in running and outdoor activities it has managed to compete with Garmin and some of the best athletes in the world have joined it, it is definitely an event worth paying close attention to.

The brand was born just 10 years ago in China with a significant influence from the U.S. in terms of design and development. And in this time, it has managed to become a direct competitor to Garmin, the manufacturer that dominated the market for running and outdoor watches.

Now, with a wide range of watches and athletes in its ranks at the level of Eliud Kipchoge, the best marathon runner in history, or Kilian Jornet, the best mountain runner, it seems that they are going to make the leap into cycling.

They have only published a small teaser on the brand's social media, and we cannot hide that if it were another manufacturer our expectations would not be so high when talking about a first model. But COROS has already shown that it is capable of delivering a product on par with the best almost from the beginning, so we will be watching their next moves closely.

It is impossible to extract information from the initial images, but the COROS DURA will be presented in June 2024 and we are eager to learn more about it.
