CHPT3 presents some elegant and expensive street cycling shoes
The former professional cyclist David Millar has launched a new line of cycling shoes under his brand CHPT3. The new shoes, called CHPT3 Transit, are designed to combine the performance of competition footwear with the comfort of luxury sneakers, offering a versatile solution for urban cyclists.
Shoes for city bike lanes
The CHPT3 Transit shoes have been presented as an "innovative vision" in urban mobility, according to the brand. With the increasing investment in bike lanes in major cities, Millar believes that these shoes represent the future of urban cycling, allowing users to pedal efficiently without sacrificing comfort when walking off the bike.
The design of the CHPT3 Transit has been developed in collaboration with James Carnes, former creative director of Adidas, leveraging his experience in creating high-performance footwear. The shoes feature a revolutionary microplate that allows compatibility with pedal systems like Shimano SPD and Crank Brothers, providing stability in pedaling without the usual rigidity of a full plate.

The new shoes aim to meet the needs of cyclists for footwear that can be worn both on the bike and in daily life. The brand wanted to create a shoe that not only offered the usual potential of competition footwear, but also felt comfortable all day long, whether in the office or at a social event.
The new shoes are already on sale and not at an affordable price. The CHPT3 shoes are not suitable for all budgets. Their sale price on the brand's website is 225 euros for the two models available. Currently, they can be purchased in gray or black, although more different colors will arrive during autumn and winter.
