Canyon would be developing its own suspension fork

Some rumors had been pointing out that Canyon could be developing, in collaboration with DT Swiss, its own fork for gravel. Now, a video posted on social media by one of the brand's ambassadors lends credibility to these rumors aboard what could be the new version of the Grail, the German brand's competition gravel bike.

Canyon is betting on suspension for competition gravel as well

Once again, leaks on social media play a trick on cycling brands by revealing their developments ahead of time. This time it was Canyon's turn, as they saw in a video posted by one of their ambassadors, Mateu Cavallé, riding a bike, presumably a new Grail, although, unlike the currently available model, already with all integrated cables, equipped with an unprecedented suspension fork.

This only confirms the rumors that have been circulating for a few months now, suggesting that Canyon would be developing its own fork with the help of DT Swiss, a brand with whom the German brand has a long history of collaborations, and in fact, it is common to find their wheels in the standard setups of the Coblenza-based brand.

Also new is seeing a suspension fork on a competition gravel bike. Until now, Canyon had only offered the option of mounting a fork on some of its Grizl setups, its adventure gravel bike. Seeing a fork on a Grail represents a paradigm shift in a machine developed for performance.

Something similar can also be deduced from the images by the huge tires mounted on that bike, apparently 45 mm although it can be deceiving since the bike is equipped with Zipp 303 XPLR wheels with their huge 32 mm throat, confirming the trend observed in gravel races where we find increasingly wider tires.
