Less than 10 days until the start of the 2024 XCO World Cup and teams are finalizing their preparations for the new season. Meanwhile, Cannondale Factory Racing is unveiling the new LAB71 Scalpel 2024 and also presenting new team gear.

The LAB71 Scalpel 2024 and new gear for Cannondale Factory Racing in 2024

Although we had already seen Mona Mitterwallner and other factory team members compete with the new Scalpel 2024 before it was officially presented, it wasn't until now that we have seen for the first time what the design of the new bike for CFR will be like.

The Scalpel 2024 features the new integrated SystemBar XC-One handlebar with front cable entry
Black and red for the bike and a multicolor geometric pattern, similar to the previous season, for the new team gear
The LAB71 frame of the Scalpel is made of Series 0 carbon, a combination of premium fibers interlaced in a special way. The brand explains that they use this type of carbon, which is stiffer and lighter, only in their LAB71 range where price is not a determining factor
The 120mm Lefty 8 fork is once again a highlight in the setup, perhaps the fork with the best performance and feel on the market. Cannondale Factory Racing will continue this year to use FSA wheels after their split with ENVE last season
The FlexPivot rear suspension system is key to the Scalpel's good performance when it comes to traction and impact absorption. The entire Scalpel 2024 range features a dropper post, with the team using a 70mm Fox Transfer SL
