Campagnolo challenges the market (and the UCI) with the new Super Record 13 X and a 9t rear sprocket
With SRAM in a full fight against the UCI for their idea of limiting developments in road cycling, which would leave out their groups with 10-tooth cogs, Campagnolo goes even further by incorporating a cassette with a lower 9-tooth cog in its Super Record 13 X version created for gravel riding.

The Super Record 13 now available in a single-chainring version for gravel and road
A few months ago Campagnolo launched the latest generation of its Super Record group which adopted the 13 name to identify the number of cogs available in its cassette. A completely wireless operating group that incorporates Campagnolo's latest technologies.
Under what they have called the Super Record 13 Platform, Campagnolo now completes the options of its top-of-the-line group, adding to the already known road version the X versions, for gravel, and all road, with optimized developments for the practice of these disciplines.

The all road series is a group that maintains the 2x configuration as in the road group and a derailleur that incorporates the Nano Clutch clutch system that prevents chain slap and helps it stay in place at all times. The cranks of this option will be available in combinations of 50/34, 48/32, and 45/29.
However, the big news is the inclusion of a single-chainring option with developments for both gravel and road. They share the same Nano Clutch derailleur and will be accompanied by two new cassette toothings that add to the already available 10-29, 10-33, 11-32, and 11-36. New combinations where the inclusion of a tiny 9-tooth cog stands out in one of them in order to increase the range of developments despite the fact that such a small cog is associated with a significant loss of mechanical efficiency.

The two cassettes will be available in 9-42 and 10-48 options that can be combined with chainrings of 48, 46, 44, 42, 40, and 38 among the options for gravel, while for road use, Campagnolo has prepared aerodynamic chainrings with toothings ranging from 52 to 44. Developments that, as we mentioned at the beginning, in their longest versions challenge the limitations that the UCI intends to introduce in road competitions.
Just like with the road group we already knew, the price of the Campagnolo Super Record 13 in these new versions continues to be in the range of the super exclusive, having to pay 3,375 € to have it, 1,167 € more if we also want to have the power data from the brand's meter.
