CamelBak makes the leap to the WorldTour with Team Visma | Lease a Bike
CamelBak has announced its official entry into WorldTour cycling after closing a multi-year collaboration agreement with the Visma Lease a Bike team. The agreement makes the American brand the exclusive supplier of sports bottles and everyday use bottles for both the men's and women's programs of the team, both in competition and training.
CamelBak enters WorldTour as official supplier of Visma Lease a Bike
The alliance marks a turning point for CamelBak, historically very linked to MTB, trail, and outdoor sports, and now strengthens its presence in professional road cycling at the highest level. The focus of the agreement is not limited to product supply but is supported by joint development and innovation work centered on high-performance hydration and, especially, on the aerodynamic and functional improvement of the bottles.

As the brand itself has explained, the bottles used by the Team Visma Lease a Bike will serve as a testing ground in real WorldTour race conditions. The data and feedback collected directly from the cyclists, the performance staff, and the team's technical partners will be incorporated into the design process of future commercial products.

The goal is to develop lighter bottles, with better aerodynamic integration into the frame and a faster and more efficient hydration capacity, an increasingly relevant aspect in modern cycling, where effort management and nutrition during the race have become a decisive factor.
“This collaboration transcends traditional sponsorship,” explains Mikey Rangel, Senior Director of Global Marketing at CamelBak. “Working with one of the most advanced organizations in professional cycling allows us to accelerate innovation and directly transfer that knowledge to both elite athletes and amateur cyclists.”
One of the key points of the agreement is that it will not remain an internal project. Starting in April 2026, CamelBak will launch new hydration products developed in direct collaboration with Visma Lease a Bike and based on the experience accumulated in competition.
These products will be gradually introduced throughout the professional season, coinciding with the major events on the calendar, and promise tangible improvements in aerodynamics, lightness, and performance, validated at the highest level of road cycling.
The Dutch team particularly values the product's adaptability to the rest of the equipment. “With CamelBak, we can offer our athletes lightweight, efficient solutions that are perfectly optimized for our setup,” says Jenco Drost, Head of Performance Equipment at Team Visma | Lease a Bike. “It’s another step in the overall improvement of our equipment.”
Although for many fans CamelBak is primarily associated with hydration packs and reusable bottles, the brand reminds that its link to cycling is historic. This new alliance reinforces its commitment to performance and the development of products tested in real competition conditions at the highest level.
With this move, CamelBak joins the trend of major technical brands that use WorldTour as a development laboratory, in a context where every detail, from the aerodynamics of the frame to the shape of a bottle, can make a difference.
