Bugatti enters cycling with a radical and illegal bike for the UCI
Factor Bikes and Bugatti have joined forces to launch the Bugatti Factor ONE, an extremely exclusive road bike that aims to bring the engineering and design philosophy that has made the French hypercar brand famous to cycling. The project is born as an uncompromising collaboration between both companies with a clear goal: to create a machine that represents the ultimate expression of speed, precision, and exclusivity in high-performance cycling.

Bugatti and Factor create the Bugatti Factor ONE: a limitless bike inspired by hypercars
Limited to only 250 numbered units worldwide, the Bugatti Factor ONE positions itself as a piece for both collectors and cyclists seeking a unique product. Each bike has been developed with a level of detail comparable to that of Bugatti cars, combining Factor's experience in competitive bicycles with the obsession for engineering that characterizes the Molsheim brand.

A bike created without considering UCI regulation limitations
The conceptual basis of the project is to design the fastest bike possible without the restrictions of UCI regulations.
Factor already demonstrated with the original Factor ONE, considered one of the fastest UCI-approved road bikes in the world, how much could be innovated within the rules. In this new project, however, Bugatti gave the engineering team a free hand to go further.

The result is a frame with radical aerodynamic solutions, among which stands out a fork with greater separation between the legs, designed to improve airflow management at the front of the bike. This architecture allows for reducing aerodynamic drag and increasing stability at high speeds.
The frame employs advanced carbon construction, with very sharp profiles and a completely integrated design aimed at maximizing aerodynamic efficiency, structural stiffness, and ride quality.

The lines of the frame deliberately recall Bugatti's design language, with sculpted surfaces and well-defined volumes that evoke the brand's hypercars.

A design directly inspired by Bugatti's hypercars
One of the most characteristic visual elements of the Bugatti Factor ONE is its two-tone split decoration, a classic aesthetic signature in the French brand's cars. This chromatic division highlights the aerodynamic shapes of the frame and creates a visual play of light and shadow that recalls models like the Veyron or the Chiron.

At the front of the bike also appears one of the brand's historical symbols: the “Dancing Elephant,” the famous sculpture created by artist Rembrandt Bugatti—brother of founder Ettore Bugatti—reinterpreted here as a distinctive emblem of the project.

This detail connects the brand's artistic tradition with the precision engineering that defines both Bugatti and Factor.
Exclusive components developed for this project
The collaboration between both brands is not limited to the frame. Several assembly parts have been specifically developed for this bike, reinforcing its exclusive character.

Among the custom components are:
- Exclusive Bugatti Factor ONE Selle Italia saddle
- Custom CARBON-TI discs and chainrings
- Continental tires developed for the project
The set is completed with one of the most striking technical elements of the bike: the Black Inc Bugatti Hyper 62 wheels.

Black Inc Bugatti Hyper 62 wheels: technology inspired by hypercars
These wheels have been conceived as the cycling equivalent of a hypercar's rims. The set weighs only 1,298 grams per pair, despite using an aerodynamic profile of 62 mm.
Their design aims to maintain high aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds without compromising stability in crosswinds.

Among their technical features are the aerodynamically optimized 62 mm profile, advanced carbon construction, co-molded carbon spokes from rim to rim, new hub and flange joining systems, and optimized torsional stiffness to improve power transfer.

The result is a wheel designed to offer a direct, responsive, and extremely efficient riding sensation.
Price of the Bugatti Factor ONE
According to Rob Gitelis, founder of Factor Bikes, the development of this bike required rethinking many of the usual principles in the design of competitive bicycles: “This project forced us to question every assumption and push the limits of engineering in the same way that Bugatti has done in the automotive world for over a century.”

From Bugatti, Wiebke Ståhl, brand and licensing director of Bugatti International, emphasizes that the bike reflects the shared innovation philosophy between both companies. “The Bugatti Factor ONE brings the meticulous engineering and attention to detail of our hypercars to a completely new category.”
The Bugatti Factor ONE will be produced in a limited series of 250 numbered units and will be officially presented during an event in Shanghai on March 18, 2026. Its official price for Europe is €25,799.
